Golf Rsm Classic 2020
Buoyed by my success in the Masters, i have been running my inexpert eye over the field for the RSM Classic, which begins today. This tournament takes place over two different courses; one round over the Plantation course, and 3 over the Seaside course, and there are a few players in the line up who have experienced this. Then there are others for whom this is their first RSM, and those who took part in the Masters and have opted to take part in this tournament. Suffice to say, selecting those players i think will do well has been a bit of a task. Hopefully my efforts will be rewarded come Sunday.
£5 win @ 8/1 both Tommy Fleetwood and Tyrell Hatton to finish in top ten.
£3 win @ 18/1 Tyrell Hatton to win - playing well before missing cut in Masters
£2 win @ 9/1 Webb Simpson @ 9/1 - 3rd in 2018, beaten in play off last year
£1.50 e.w. @ 25/1 Tommy Fleetwood - Type of course he does well at
£1 e.w. @ 40/1 Kevin Kisner - 3/5 top 7 finishes here and winner in 2015
£1 e.w. @ 80/1 Matt Kuchar - blows hot 'n' cold but more than capable on his day
I have a bank of £25 and, as you can see, i've used £17, leaving £8 which may, or may not, be brought into play later in the comp.

My highest placed player at the moment is 2015 winner, Kevin Kisner, who is tied in 5th on -12, 5 shots off the lead. Not beyond the realms of possibility that he can add to his 2015 title, but i think i'm more than likely to receive place money. Matt Kuchar is tied in 14th on -7 and there is a slight possibility that he, too, could earn me some place money.
Bringing the remaining £8 into play with today's threesomes with a £1.50 Trixie, £2 Treble;
Kevin Kisner @ 5/4 - versus Grillo and Stanley
Andrew Landry @ 2/1 - versus Villegas and NeSmith
Keegan Bradley @ 9/5 - versus Kizzire and Tringale
£8 staked for a possible return of £102.77

Well Kevin Kisner did put in a brilliant round to tie for first place, unfortunately losing out in the play off. Both he and Andrew Landry won their threesomes, but Keegan Bradley shot his third 67 of the tournament, losing out to Cameron Tringale who shot a last day 62 to finish 3rd on -18.
So, a total of £20.13 returned from an initial outlay of £25 means i ended £4.87 down. Think i'll sleep easy in my bed tonight :-)
