Philips TV........knackered??

I bout a Philips Flat Widescreen Tv about 2 yrs ago, 24 inches. Recently it has been adting very strange, flickering etc.

I was watching Tv today and it started to flicker then the quality of the screen went really weird, as if someone had stuck a yellow filter infornt of my tv - all the colours hade a yellow and the red tint to them, they looked liked someone had turned the colour up - then it turned off! Everytime I turn it on now it starts up, the quality is really bad and after about 5 secs the tv turns itself off?

Anyone else had this before, or know what it is? Im pretty sure its ********

hello - i dont suppose you came up with an answer to your tinted problem. i have a 4 yr old sony tv, and the last couple of days its gone blue!! It wasnt cheap so i dont want to chuck it - what did you do? I would appreciate your help! thanks
