Fast Chargers For Phones And Laptops

Is it the charger, the cable or both that charge faster than standard chargers?

The charger gives out more watts than the standard charger.

I wondered this. My sofa has USB ports and seems to charge quicker that if plugged the device into a wall socket.

It is both. The fast charger is the plug but it also needs a suitable cable. A larger wired USB cable will charge faster than a smaller. Can't remember the numbers.
So if use an old cable it might not charge as fast as it could.

Me and the wife have phones with the same capacity batteries..
Mine came with a fast charger of 19w and hers with a 10w ..
My phone charges in under an hour.. Hers takes about 4 hours. She uses mine and it takes an hour.
We have swapped the cable over and it makes no difference.. it would seem it is entirely down to the wattage of the charger.
Saying that I only need to charge mine every 2 or 3 days.

They are actually really handy. We had to get new wall sockets installed so we could plug the sofa in.

If everyone is home there's 5 phones, laptops and ipads.

I changed several sockets to that type a while back. Very convenient

As others have stated the charging speed depends upon the charger but in my view, it also has something with the cable. All the cable seems the same but inside it has 4 wires. Now along with the charger it is also the wire’s ability to carry a fast speed.
