O2 Requesting Sign In On My Tesco Mobile Android!!
17 Answers
Hi peeps,
Why would my Samsung/Tesco mobile phone be displaying "Sign in to network, O2 UK"
after a recent update? I never signed out!
When I follow the prompt it takes me to a "top up" page, but I have an effin' contract!
TIA for any answers

It probably just needs someone at Tesco Mobile to tweak something 'at their end' and all should be well. If you can get your phone to make the connection, call 4455 from it to speak to their technical support team. (Lines will be open from 0800 to 2000). If you need to use another phone, call 0345 301 4455. (Calls are charged at the same rate as 01 and 02 numbers, from both landlines and mobiles).

Thanks for your reply. If it does turn out to be something solely 'at your end' though, try the following. (You can actually try them now anyway):
1. Turn on aeroplane mode. Wait a few seconds and turn it on again.
If that doesn't work . . .
2. Turn the phone off. Wait a few seconds and then turn it on again.
If that doesn't work . . .
3. Turn the phone off, remove the battery (if it's removeable) and the SIM. Wait a few seconds and put it all back together again.
It's amazing how variations on the old trick of 'Turn it off and turn it on again' actually work. Aeroplane mode has got me out of a hole many times!

Thanks for the answers, it turned out to be this: I had used up my limit of online data, probably because I forgot to switch WiFi on when I allowed the update to download and it was collossal.
It was a very frustrating 'journey' and involved phoning Tesco Mobile four times, they gave me 500mb free of charge to tide me over to the next bill date.
