Wiping A Mobile Phone

I’ve decided to give my friend my old Samsung Galaxy as she is desp for a newer phone. I’ve found it. Need to charge it. But I have gone completely. blank in how to wipe it! Am sure it’s completely obvious lol

Reset to factory settings in your settings. My first instinct,was - with a baby wipe:-)

A factory reset will restore everything, but remember to remove your sim card. If you leave the sim in, it will appear to be a factory reset phone but some personal details will remain on the sim card.
I reset my phone on a regular basis to remove all the clutter, and it still surprises me what is left on the sim.

Ok stupid stupid question, but I’ve watched eleanours video on how to wipe the phone and says will wipe every app, photo, everything, it won’t affect this phone will it??

It will be in the same state that it was when you got it out of the box i.e. it will only have the default apps.

Only the phone you are wiping. Take the sim out first.
