Alexa & Dot Problems Again.
4 Answers
I have an Amazon Alexa and an Echo Dot in adjoining rooms using different wake words. ' Alexa' and 'Echo' respectively.
When I wake Alexa, Echo Dot wakes up too and responds to my request. . When I tell her to shut up, as she's not wanted, she refuses, no matter what I call her ! Both will comply when I give the same order to Alexa.
Then when I wake Echo Dot, Alexa responds too and when I tell her to stop because she's not wanted, , both stop ! Still with me ?
Alexa seems to be in control and I've tried everything to be able to use each device independently as I dont need both on if I'm in one room only. Both are on the same electrical circuit ( ring main ?) but surely that doesn't matter ? Help, please !!

Issue is discussed in the link, suggestions include making sure they are not in the same speaker set in the settings, and ensuring both devices firmware is up to date. https://www. amazonforum. com/s/questi on/0D54P0000 7WnYgt/multi ple-alexa-de vices-respon ding-why-is- echo-spatial -perception- not-working
