Virgin Media Tv Box - Have You Got One?

If you have and can spare 5 minutes would you kindly open theITV hub app and have a look at Unforgotten Series 4 episode 2?
I had a bizarre thing happen last night. I had recorded the whole series to my Virgin box and was surprised when this episode cut out at 30 minutes.
I deleted it and tried to watch it on catch up through the hub and that too was 30 minutes.
In the end I switched the Virgin box up and watche it through the Hub app on my tv - the whole hour.
I would be interested to know if your Virgin box has the same 30 minute cut off.

Unforgiven S04E02 is showing on my box as 47mn, which is the full hour less commercials.

what is also showing for all ITV programmes on my box is an annoying in-vision signer who will not go away no matter what I try.......

isn't the thing you did and managed (through the ITV hub on the virgin box) exactly what you asked us to do? If you managed it that way, why are you asking us to do that?
Incidentally i just did it via the ITV hub on my virgin box and it was fine - full episode :)

bednobs, I couldn't watch it on my Virgin box, it cut off after 30 minutes.
I had to switch the Virgin box off and watch it through the app on my smart tv.
I wanted to know if everyone's Virgin box had the same problem - I can't understand why it was different on my Virgin box to the app on my freeview tv.

Thank you, mushroom. Is your in-vision signer there all the time, even when you are watching live tv? Signing is not like subtitles that can be turned on and off (unless it is a very new feature I know nothing about) and should only appear on signed programmes that everyone can see, usually broadcast late at night or early morning.

ps mush, i agree about the signer - never ever seen an option to turn them off or on, in the same way you can AD or subtitles - they just happen

the signer (red top and glasses) is only there for catch-up events thank goodness. Mr Google says it's a feature of some HD programming and suggests two methods of off-ski-ing the annoyance, neither of which has any effect.

mushroom, you are choosing the wrong edition on catch up, the original non-signed version should still be available
