Nhs App Qr Codes

Hello, I visited (yet another) café, they asked to take my details as usual, there was a QR code at the entrance to the café, the guy on the door explained that if I have the NHS app I can just open it up & there is the option to scan the QR code & not actually have to give my details in because it would register on the app, I opened the app but can't see the option to scan the code, all the guy kept saying is its on the main page of the app - I gave up in the end, any ideas?

You need the NHS COVID-19 App, one of the options is Check into a venue

You need the NHS Covid 19 app, not the standard NHS app with your records etc.
The covid 19 app opens with the scanner, like a camera does, you just hold it over the QR code

Tried this out but does not work in Scotland must be a different app
