I am trying to get some toy nodding dogs manufactured. Does anyone know the best method of doing this? Is it injection moulding, blow moulding, or resin casting?

the cheapest and most efficient will be injection moulding. Blow moulding will be too expensive and is far to big of a process for such a small product. Resin casting, again is expensive and would not suit the procuct. Resin or even die casting is mainly used on metals, alloys (also alloy wheels) due to durability and detail. Injection moulding will give you a quicker output and will be far cheaper and will allow you to use many more types of polymers.

Nodding dogs have already been done so check with Churchills toy dog manufacturer - write them a letter and pretend you are a design student intersted in manufacturing processes. they may give you some hints and tips. Its a few years since I graduated in Design so my memory fails me sometimes!

These people might be able to offer the service. Worth a try. They make nodding buster and the Churchill dog.
