Amazon Prime

I seemed to have signed up for Amazon Prime, obviously clicked something I shouldn't have.
How do I unsubscribed from it please?

^well, you seem to have done what you wanted..."your membership is ending". (You can still avail yourself of prime benefits until the 29th)

When this happened to me a long while back, I sent a very cross email to Amazon customer services asking to be taken off immediately. I received a reply pretty quickly apologising and saying the membership had been terminated. I don’t use Amazon much now because I was so annoyed by the whole thing.

you have to wait until the first payment is taken ( hem hem ) and then claim it back

These are the steps to take but as it is saying you will lose access to Prime after the 29th, it must have been cancelled already.

To cancel Amazon Prime for free, head to the ‘Setting’ section of ‘Your Account’. Then follow these steps:

Go to 'Manage Your Prime Membership'

To cancel a free trial, click 'Do not continue' - this is the second option on the left-hand side of the page

Note: If you select 'Do not continue' for your free trial, you'll still be able to receive the benefits until the final - 30th - day

On the final day, your membership will cancel, and your card won't be charged

Amazon says if you later change your mind and choose to continue your membership instead, you can revert your decision by clicking 'Continue membership' in 'Your Account'. You can opt out at any point during the free trial period.

My wife has inadvertently done that twice. It is a real pain, so easy to fall into the trap. Both times I had to telephone Amazon on her behalf to cancel it. Now we refuse to use anything to do with Amazon.

Yes, you have cancelled it so stop worrying about it. Make the most of the free trial.

Like you i signed up to it by mistake but have kept it and have enjoyed the benefit of free postage on most Amazon purchases.

I accidentally signed up to Prime but it was easy to get rid of. Most of what I have bought from Amazon comes with free postage anyway or if not click and collect is free too which happens to be just down the road for me. Much of the other stuff they give I probably wouldn't use anyway.

Can't say I have seen click and collect being free when posting isn't.

Surely the only thing that's different is the address it's delivered to?

TCL, this comes up when ordering for free click and collect on Amazon "This item is eligible for FREE click and collect without a minimum order." I often use it.

Well it seems I have cancelled it because they have emailed to say,

We are confirming that you have turned off your auto-renew setting. Your Prime membership will not continue and you will lose access to your Prime benefits at the end of your membership period.

Don't know how I did it but it least I feel happy they won't be taking money out of my account.

Didn't make it clear to me barry, thought they were just telling me that so I would renew it.
