You could try the refresh button/clockwise circular arrow top left of page or F5 button. If this fails it may mean that you need to close a few tabs if you have a lot open or you need to clear all your junk files and cachet. Have you also tried a different browser, or checked that your router is operating properly or that your web supplier is not squeezing your data access facility because they themselves are trying to service a demand that is more than their system handles?
Try Brave https:/ /brave. com/
It looks like a problem that has been encountered by many users for a while. Lots of hints on how to clear it including re installing Chrome and a fresh install of any third party security system that you may be using. There are a few fixes online and I have just saved this site in case I ever get the same issue using Edge. The solution is not too techie but it is not something you want to get wrong.

Think I would try deleting any old or redundant files first Sandy. To do a fresh browser install it is better to uninstall the old one first. Do not uninstall both of you named browsers in case you cannot get back online to install a new version. You need to get into your settings to find the Chrome or Firefox programme then click on it and uninstall. I have forgotten how to get in there in Vista.
Ah got it. Click the Start Menu and click the Control Panel icon. Then look for the add or remove programmes icon, click on that, scroll to say Chrome and ask it to uninstall. Then using a browser that is still there (Firefox, or Internet Explorer say) ask the web for install Chrome. Let it install and cross your fingers.
