Apple Scam
4 Answers
Just received my bank statement and the is a payment on there that neithe I or hubby made. It shows as - APPLE.COM.BIL IE. It is only for 99p but I was concerned as I had read similar things happening to other people. I googled it and people have questioned this going back as far as 2019 as being on their bank statements. I have contacted my bank (Nat West) and they were very helpful. We have no apple products, Ipad/iphone etc and do not use Itunes and Icloud. Reading between the lines it seems I am not the first to speak to my bank about this. It was on a joint account and was my husbands card. He only uses it for petrol for the car and his tractors. The bank have cancelled his card and are sending another out and they have blocked Apple from trying to take anything in the future (if we want to purchase from apple we have to ask the bank to remove the block) and are refunding the 99p. Be aware as this is an ongoing scam.

I have had similar happen twice, once the payment was to O2 and once to a shop at a petrol station.
