Can you factory re-set the box.
Question Author
sorry suddenly the box switched it self offf
Do you definitely have the right HDMI input selected on the TV?
Question Author
yes i am using the hdmi cable that came with box connects from tv to box thank u
You have the cable connected correctly but on the remote are you selecting the correct HDMI input?
Question Author
i cannot do a factory reset because the tv does come on
I know you've managed to switch it off now but you could always pull the mains plug out. That is better because it removes all power from the box.
Question Author
yes i have un plugged the box waited 10 min plugged it back in pressed for turn on tv box no luck
Are you selecting the correct source on your remote control?
sounds like as it's new you should take it back to where you got it
You may have more than one HDMI socket on your TV, so you need to make sure that you are selecting the right one, HDMI1 or HDMI 2 on your remote.

if you are, and the box still isn't working at all, I would either go back to the supplier or contact Humax support

Question Author
i have 4 hdmi sockets tried them no luck i can get utube disney
at least the tv is ok
Just to be clear, when you tried the different HDMI sockets did you also change the input channel to the different sockets on the TV on the remote?
Question Author
ta for info the prob is the tv is not working properly cannot get 1234
or other channels
Still could be the aerial feed. If the TV is getting Disney that is via the internet. No proof yet that the aerial signal is getting through.

Perhaps a fat pigeon has caused a disconnection.
I assume the aerial goes to the Humax and then to the TV. If this is the case disconnect both leads from the Humax and connect them together; that takes the Freeview signal directly from the aerial to the TV. Now re-tune your TV and then see if you can get BBC1 etc. If you can't you might have an aerial problem. If you can it looks like you have a problem with the Humax box.

481 did what u said still no joy
If you've connected the aerial directly to to TV, retuned the TV and cannot get any programmes then either you have an aerial problem or your TV has gone faulty. It's difficult to make any further suggestions so I think you might have to call an engineer in.
