Need Help With My Bt Tv App Android Version
24 Answers
Hi My BT TV App is not working properly.
It will not play the ordinary channels....BBC 1, 2, 3 ITV etc etc. All I get is the message telling me to turn on my TV Box to view the programme.....not much use.
It does play the BT Sports channels and it does allow me to set up a recording for 'normal' non sport channels.
But, that's it.
I have reinstalled the App to no avail. I have also turned my (Android) tablet off and on again....no change.
I am afraid the BT so-called help online has been sending me round in circles getting nowhere .
I really would like some help with this...but please, not too techie....turning things off and on again is about my limit.
Thanks folks. :-))

Apparently, you can't watch 'normal' Freeview channels live on the BT app - only the channels you subscribe to. However, you could download the BBC iPlayer, ITVHub, All4 and My5 apps to your tablet and watch them through that

As you have subscribed to Now TV you should be able to use the Now TV app on your tablet.

I have found the definitive answer, ladyalex
"You’ll be able to watch all of the live and On Demand programmes that come with your BT TV subscription on the BT TV App. You won't be able to watch Sky Cinema, Sky Sports or Freeview channels."

You should be able to watch much more than the sports channels, though

I have downloaded the NOW TV app and I think I cannget the NOW channels on my tablet.
I am pretty sure BT did not tell me that I would be losing the Freeview channels when I did the upgrade.
Seems shoddy to me.
Also, I will miss being able to watch Freeview TV on my tablet when I am somewhere with Internet but no TV set.
Shoddy.
