Dyson washing machine

I have been desparate for a Dyson washing machine for years but couldnt justify the cost especially since my existing machine was fine. Well, now its showing signs of packing in so a Dyson is top of my list but they arent making them anymore. I emailed Dyson via their website and received a curt reply saying they were working on a new model but couldnt tell me anything else. Does anyone out there know whats going on and when the new washing machine is likely to be launched? Thanks.

Aren't you lucky Eeeek, because they are bl@@dy useless!! Probably why they had to stop making them. Ours was a nightmare from begining to end, leaks, balance/load distruibution problems, dancing around the kitchen floor, and an ugly great thing to boot. I only bought it for the large aperture and capacity, but it was out the door within six months. Now have Bosch and highly recommend.

i too longed for a dyson washing machine ,what put me off is the size i have a fitted kitchen with under unit spaces for dryer, washer etc but the dyson would stick out by about 4 inches ,my next machine,like carol anne will be a bosch

Their vacuum cleaner was enough for me let alone buying a washing machine from them.
Bosch ..the best washing machines..ours is six years old now and we have never had any trouble with it.

Why pay a lot of money for technology of doubtful, unreliable and gimicky use with a Dyson when you can by Bosch like ours, the best on the market for a lot less. Four - nil to Bosch so far.

I looked too at the Dyson a few years ago, However instead I went with a recomendation from my Mum and bought an AEG lavamat. It wasn't top of the range, but I have now had it nearly 10 years and it washes aswell as the day I bought it. I have since bought an AEG dishwasher and AEG tumble dryer. All 3 appliances came with standard 5 year guarantee and are white (frankly a bonus over the ridiculous multi coloured dyson one) and I can not fault them in anyway. I am thinking of replacing my hob and oven both with AEG when the time comes too. German made, (since merged with electroluc) and overengineered so they do last for ever. Also, very sensibly designed. I was wondering if the engineeres at AEG are female?

Don't go for the Dyson. I have a dyson hoover. Bigest waste of 200 quid I've ever spent. Am trying to convince hubby to get rid of it and by a different one. Probably Seebo.

Interesting, those wheelbarrows from the 80s that were green plasic and had an orange ball instead of a wheel were also designed by a Mr Dyson: You don't see them any more either!

Would not touch one with a barge pole. Vacuum cleaner was bad enough.

We used to have elderly German neighbours who would not touch anything AEG. She explained that the company had designed and installed special switchgear to run the ovens more efficiently at Auschwitz, and that they are still on the walls there to this day with the AEG logo on them.

Like mimififi I had an AEG Lavamat. I had it for 14 years and it was brilliant. However, I decided earlier this year that it was time for a new machine so took myself off down to John Lewis (the staff are so knowledgeable) and discovered that AEG are now working with electrolux and are no longer fully German. Miele are now the only fully German engineered washing machines, so I got a miele. It is FANTASTIC and comes with a 10 year guarantee which covers call outs, parts and labour. Miele reckon the machines have a life span of 20-25 years and so guarantee to carry parts for 20 years. I would definately recommend one.
