My hard disk drives (not a partition, my PC has a hard disk drive and a SSD) is showing as working properly when I perform a disk check but it is not showing up in 'This PC'.
It is there is 'Device Manager' but under 'properties' - events - it states 'device migrated'

Can anyone advise on to how to recover this drive and get it properly connected and working? The driver is up to date

That's a new one on me. Have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting the power and data cables from the drive and then rebooting?
Another suggestion; via device manager disable then re-enable the disc.
Can you feel the disc vibrating ie rotating if you touch the case or is it not possible to get a finger to it?

Thanks both - no success as yet, at a loss.

I have opened the case and the drive is definitely spinning. I will have to leave it for now and have another go tomorrow
