Web pages tells wife if its 159 days since 2nd Covid vaccine then call 119 and get booster booked in.
We were waiting for 6 months , but as it’s now 184 days then she called 119.
After the checking who you are etc via Name, date of birth , NHS number , postcode etc the chap says it’s for to be 6 months before I can book it.
So what about the web page saying 159 days?
Oh that doesn’t synch with what our booking system allows us to do.

No wonder the booster vaccine rollout is going slow (rolls eyes).

Personally I was told by government I was supposed to have the booster and not 3rd vaccine shot.
Myeloma UK said ignore that they are wrong and here is a letter we are giving everyone to send to GP to get you entered into system.
Government said ‘6 months from 2nd vaccine’ …NHS said ignore that and come on down now for your 3rd vaccine shot and we will write to you in 6 months time for your booster.

And they wonder why Covid cases are increasing again ….err because your shambles of an admin system isn’t working and getting people their boosters …that’s why….

Which website gives the 159 days figure?
I got a text message giving a URL which takes me to this page (last reviewed: 22 October 2021):
https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/book-or-manage-a-booster-dose-of-the-coronavirus-covid-19-vaccine/
Clearly says 6 months. No mention of 159 days.

@corbynloon - It gets more and more screwed up as the day goes on.
We used the NHS web booking service this morning and my wife did it first via web page taping in name , date of birth and postcode.
She said to me it’s says 159 days blah blah call 119.
On an independent device IPad (she used laptop) I googled snd followed same NHS web page link , tapped in her name , birth date , post code etc and hit same page saying 159 days ..call 119 to book it.

After reading your question as to what web page , I planned to copy ‘ paste text on page into reply and I used browser history to connect to same page , taped in name , date of birth , post code etc and now it says 6 months and a week ???
You couldn’t make it up LOL

If I had got same this morning I would have told wife she was on wrong page seeing 159 days :-)
I will try page again using browser history to connect via her laptop to see what comes up now.
sounds like user error to me :)
No, administrative competance and the NHS don't mix well.
I think the systems have been surprisingly good. The nhs covid apps have been good and booking systems good. Only complaint is I keep getting flu jab reminder's months after I had it and its not showing on my GP online app.
Must admit thoughi don't understand why boosters are counted as different to 3rd dose in the daily stats. Do you get a different amount in a 3rd jab
possibly because they may be (and in my case it was) a different vaccine, bobb?
^^^ Other than in exceptional circumstances, AZ isn't being used for boosters. So that means that many people are receiving different vaccines for their booster jabs to those that they had before. Further, if Moderna is used for the booster, only half of a normal dose is used.
