Lithium battery in a one seat golf buggy, it will be kept at golf club, so, can the charger be left plugged in and switched on for several days? I have conflicting opinions on this.

I've been looking into getting an electric car.
The advice on them for prolonging battery life seems to be usually only charge up to about 80%.
yes it can, it will just stop charging when its at capacity or full, same with a cordless drill cell phone etc.
I never leave anything on charge and unattended.
