White Band On My Computer

For a few days now there has been a white band at the bottom of my PC with a X in it.
When I click on the X the band disappears but then comes back.
It covers the bottom part of the screen, any idea how I can get rid of it for good please?

Is this just on AB because I've had that all morning , just on AB, so far today.

This band is on the monitor of my PC.

Danny it must be AB -I'm on and off different sites at the moment and the white band was just on AB up until about 10 minutes ago. I presumed it was an advert, clicking the X removed it, but it returned on every page refresh. ( AB only)

I have the same, only on AB. The band is not completely opaque though, so I've just been 'living with it'. :-)

Just realised its dormant at the bottom of the page -can just see around 1/4 inch, but when I refresh it pops back up to a near opaque band around 1 inch with a grey x in the right-hand corner.

oh and before it pops up there is a small message on the bottom LHS of the screen which says 'establishing a secure connection' then the opaque banner pops up.

Barsel, Its still there I'm afraid. When I pause the thing that you are not supposed to use, the banner turns into a video advertising life insurance. There will be nothing to be done until the advert runs its course I'm afraid. Source: Captive Computer Science Student working from home :-)
