Help! I've just joined answerbank and it's grabbed a pic, within permission, from my gallery to use as my profile pic.

How can I change this?

Above "View all categories" top-right of the screen, click "view your profile" & then click "Deactivate avatar"

Yes... assume that's a photo of you or someone you know. Yes best deactivate it or go onto WordPress I think and pick a different pic

It gives me the option to deactivate account but not avatar.
Quite concerned as it could have grabbed any pic. Thinking I may deactivate account. Saw somewhere that I can access avatars after x weeks and 10 posts and not really happy with it.

Found this under edit profile..... "New users do not have immediate access to an Avatar, but after a short introductory period you will be able to set your own Avatar.

You may connect with Gravatar in 14 days and after 10 more legitimate posts."

Hi Caterpillar - I'm sorry I wasn't more help & don't know why the "Deactivate avatar" button doesn't show for you, unless the system is set up to assume that as a new user, you can't have one yet? Odd.

Looks like I may as well stay as if i `deactivate account` it will stay here without me anyway!

I can see a picture on his profile. Why not just log into Gravatar, upload a picture you like and use that instead. Avatars here are easily changed. People do it all the time.

I think it's because you've used Gravatar elsewhere & AB has picked that fact up & gone with the active pic in that account.

If it's making you uncomfortable & you want to leave completely - for now! - ask on this thread & a Moderator can "ban" your account, which should remove your profile along with this thread.
