Lost E Mails

My sister was looking for a recent E Mail but noticed that everything between Octoberv2021 and today's date had disappeared. She was looking for one from a relative that she knew she received last month. I searched through Trash and deleted and Archive,but no luck. Can anyone explain what might had happened and how to resolve Thanks She has a G Mail account

Try selecting 'All mail':

Click the gear icon (top right)

Select 'Settings'.

There are lots of tabs across the top of that page. Select 'Labels'.

Next to 'All Mail', click on 'Show'.

There will now be an extra folder, called 'All Mail' in the left hand panel of the page. Click to open it it and see if the missing email is now shown.
