morning, Thursday and the days are zipping by, I hope you are all as well as can be and that your day is a good one, do you have anything planned for today? The forecast for the capital doesn't look too good with a high of 23c, but cloudy all day.

its getting light already, and the days are long now, which is nice.

Morning, Emmie. Those 4 tomato plants that I mentioned I planted on my balcony on Monday are really flourishing, I can't believe how much they've grown! In a few more days I'll have to put a cage around each one. Another chapter in my life began today when I decided to move everything I don't really need from my car trunk so that I can put a four-wheeled fold-up walker in there in case I need it when I'm out and about.

that's good about the tomato plants, lets hope you get loads off them.
do you need a walker, i thought your were quite able to get around.

I've been using a walking-stick for about 5 years, and I now feel my legs are getting weaker. Anyway, it's good to have this walker available. When it's unfolded it has a seat and a basket to hold a few items. It also has two brakes on it which can be locked for certain situations. I should put a bicycle bell on it to warn people than I'm coming through:)

plenty of elderly use them here, but mainly the three wheeled variety, often with a seat and a compartment for some light shopping.

i haven't received it yet, i ordered it and it's coming by post i believe, i will let you know how i get on with it as i am something of a fast reader.

it may arrive today, and if i do get it, will likely start reading, as i am waiting for a courier so doubt very much i will be going anywhere.

It's going up to 23 today with occasional showers...That's OK, I won't have to water the plants.

no indeed, 23c is quite warm, if it stays dry it will be a bonus. I fancy lunch out, just a sandwich in the park, but as mentioned i need to be in.

we have loads of people who are a danger to pedestrians by riding their mobility scooters far too fast, i have been almost run over by some who think they own the pavements.

Doubt Mac will exceed speed limits with his walker, unlike geriatrics with battery powered tricycles.

1ozzy, I was thinking of putting a folded piece of a cigarette pack to rattle against the spokes of the wheels:)

true, but some of these scooters are massive and i wonder if they should be on the road instead.

Use an old playing card Mac, along with a worn out clothes peg.
You won't have to smoke as much.
Works for me.
