Microsoft Account Hacked
15 Answers
Someone rang me four times on my landline and said my Microsoft account is hacked. He was not very clear and the call got disconnected three times.
In my laptop computer I have McAffee antivirus installed.
I did not give any of my details to the caller as I was not able to understand his fast talk.
I asked him what he wanted me to do as next step. Again the call got disconnected.
No further communication from him.
I am anxious to know if this was a genuine call or some fraudster.
Can anyone please tell me what I should do now?
I am using Windows 10.
I do not do internet/on-line banking.
Thanks.

(I seem to be free of them at the moment but I've had hundreds of similar calls over the years). People who've not got Microsoft accounts get them and people who don't even own computers get them. Ignore or report:

Hey there! First off, kudos for not giving away any personal info! That was a smart move. Since you have McAfee antivirus, your laptop's security should be better protected.
