at the moment im getting 42 mbps download on my dell laptop but on my acer laptop im getting 21,05 wht the diff thank u

Are they both connected by WiFi or is one connected by ethernet?
Is the Acer older than the Dell?
Can you look in Devices Manager on both, click on Network Adapter and tell us which standard each has? My machine has 802.11n, it's a few years old
