Is there a country that England has not been at war with, 'conflicts with', or occupied? Off the top of my head to include China as in Hong Kong, Japan (Second World War), Ireland as in Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, the rest of Europe, all of Africa, all of India, (the British Commonwealth & British Empire), Argentina, North America & Canada. Maybe no conflict with Greenland or Antarctica. With Iceland, it was the cod wars.
Possibly not. Central and South America have largely escaped direct conflict with the Brits, but of course we were at war with the other empires at the time of colonisation, i.e. Portugal and Spain. And now Britain has been overtaken as the world's leading war-monger by the USA, you can probably tag us on to all of their wars in the roll of lap-dog.
I think sneakers is wrong to include Australia. Wherever the English/British settled in the world, they first of all fought or decimated the native populations, so in that sense we WERE at war with the aboriginal people of Australia and New Zealand, to name just the two.
