Charged Twice For A Meal

My friend and I popped in to get a pub meal. I ordered online and it didn't appear to go through.
I then went to order and pay at the bar. When I got back there were 2 drinks waiting on the table with my friend. We then got our meal delivered. All OK, I had paid as usual with my credit card.
That night I got a 2nd bill for the same meal in an email from Gmail in a Google account. I have never used this to pay anything. I have sent them an email to point everything out, as yet no reply. I paid twice for the same meal. I have both copies in emails. I'm not sure how this happened. We only got one meal

Do you have onine banking? If so log in and check that it is actual a duplicate charge and not just a second email confirmation. Or check on a mini statement at an ATM.

If it is definitely a double charge the ring then up, then contact your credit card company.

Claim with your credit card. ..there good at dealing with these. We're the two amount's the same????...makes the mistake more obvious to them?

Yes both the same, that were taken out of my credit card

Have you definitely seen 2 amounts come out of your credit card statement? Because almost the exact same thing happened when I purchased an item online and thought I'd got 2 bills (emails showing the amount spent) but second one turned out to be just something the company I had bought from had sent out to do with their own payment account. Check your credit card statement first.

Emails are not the quickest way. Call in local or phone up....or just report it to card company as duplicated and they'll sort it
