Why is PayPal such a pain in the backside ? I am trying to send money to someone for something. I have logged into my account and they are asking to send me to a text to a number that no longer exists. I dont know how to change it it won't give me any other options to confirm it's me. Its bloody ridiculous

It's an anti fraud measure, you'd be the first to whine if someone hacked your account. Just change the target phone number.

It may be your bank that has requested the extra verification. PayPal is normally simple to use.

Yes I had the same problem when I changed my number and the old alternative number also changed....when I tried updating my paypal contact details they stillinsisted on texting the old number....i got round it by just stopped using paypal

I have tried to select another option to verify me it comes back to the same old phone numbers. They are hopeless I have a valid account with a valid password and now it means I cant pay for something I want. Absolutely hopeless

Just use your debit card, Gordie, or whichever card is linked to your PP account.

The seller will only accept PayPal they seem to think its wonderful. Right now I hate them so much

what Tilly says. If they demand payment in Zambian kwacha, and you haven't got any, you'll just have to buy from someone else more flexible. Their loss.

PayPal always ask for mobile verification i have that on amazon and eBay too just up date your number when you get back on
