Sony Xperia 10 Iv - How To Answer Call Swipe Or Other!
8 Answers
I know - it is me again!
When I receive an incoming call I have to swipe up to answer it which is fine but on my wife's same model phone when a call comes in at the top of her screen it offers' accept or decline'
I want that on my phone but I have been thru the manual and cannot find setting for this!
When I first got the new phones I am sure I was offered the option - can anyone remind me how to access this?
Thanks
Moggie

I've a suspicion that one of the 'improvements' in Android 12 (or, at least, in Sony's implementation of it) has been the removal of the function that you're looking for.
However you can effectively reject a call by pressing either 'Volume Up' or 'Volume Down', which will silence it until cuts off anyway.
Alternatively, you might care to use your phone's 'smart call handling' feature:

When I set up my phone it automatically opened in the 'swipe' mode and I have been unable to see any way to change this and it does not really matter to me but....when my wife's same model exactly came and I set it up it went straight to only one option and that was at top of screen when call came thru it said accept or decline and she prefers this to swiping because of a hand problem. This was there until recently and now it is swipe up only.
If this means anything my phone is Android 10 and hers Android 12.
Because her phone was brand new out of box once I set it up over next few days there were three or four updates which I installed and none since.

Buenchico.
This has been bugging me and I managed to get Sony tech help (eventually)
They told me as you said this is not available on this Sony phone and the reason I am getting both swipe and answer/decline at any point is they say....
When the phone is not being used and I pick it up to answer a call I always have to swipe to open the call - however if I am using the phone when a call comes in the it shows the option answer/decline at top of my page so that I can still see what I am looking at!
Seems a fair answer and I would never have guessed that!
Thanks
