Internet printing problems
5 Answers
I am running Windows 98 and have a HP Deskjet 670C printer. When I am not connected to the 'net I have no problems printing any item I want - full colour pictures, text, etc etc, but when I am on the 'net, if I try to print anything, I get an error message such as 'communication with printer lost' or 'error on system'. Am I doing something wrong or is this an easilly fixable problem?

Many thanks for your reply. I don't know if it helps but when I try to print, it will start to print my document, then when it gets maybe a quarter of the way through, that's when it stops and I get the error message.
For the benefits of this site, I think the problem could be to do with bidirectional communications and the port settings for your printer port. For your benefit however, and to not clog up this page, I'll continue to help you by email. If you want further help, email me at : [email protected]
