Ab Carol Concert 2022
41 Answers
Time again for my one regular thread - the AB Carol Concert - and as always my thoughts turn to those no longer with us. Remembering my very good friend, writer, film-maker and all round bon viveur, Chakka35; the inimitable Mikey to whom I was virtually engaged for several years - albeit a bit of a volatile relationship; the quite brilliant Vetuste_Ennemi, whom the comedy genius that was Mrs.O insisted upon renaming Enema; the legend that was AOG wherever he may be, and this year special thoughts go to Danny, a genuinely nice man and a popular mod who was here daily but who disappeared suddenly and is greatly missed.
Others, of course, are remembered but I know some would like to express their own thoughts for their own people so please feel free to add your own commemorations and carols or simply your messages for your fellow ABers at this lovely time of year.
I've posted this before on these annual threads but you've got it again simply because I can't resist it. Don’t you just love children, especially at Christmas? I do.
Merry Christmas everyone. My very best wishes to all.

Not always popular on AB because of her straight talking. She didn't suffer fools gladly and was very astute. Basically off AB She was a very shy lady and very kind, working hard for her charity proving meals in her home for those on the streets. She never really talked about this on AB. We were facebook friends and she helped me a lot. We never actually met, but we were planning to and she was going to introduce me to her Mum who lives near me. But she died before that happened. She was a one off ABer who is missed.
So because of her Irish heritage - Farytale of New York, The Pogues and Kirsty McCall If a video could be posted I would be grateful.

some soulful but stunning piano music - a piano version of Mahler's 5th, the Adagietto
the list and add in nungate, mazie and boatie - then nothing heard of Baldric, BOO, Crafty, or AYG. Eccles too but she passed away.
Finally for Christmas, the previous piece - often played as a prelude to the King's College service, something I'd like playing when I pop my clogs, but inspiring!
