You appear to be trying to log into the Barclays banking website, rather than the app. (The app is only available on smartphones and doesn't make use of any web browser).

If you're still using Windows 8.1 (as a recent post from you suggests) then, even if Chrome is currently up to date, it very soon won't be:
https://support.google.com/chrome/thread/185534985/sunsetting-support-for-windows-7-8-8-1-and-windows-server-2012-and-2012-r2-in-early-2023?hl=en

It's actually the 'developer level' web browser, Chromium, which Chrome is based upon, that's ceasing support for Windows 8.1. So every browser which is Chromium-based will have the same problem, whereby no updates will be possible in future. Nearly all web browsers are Chromium-based these days, including Edge, Vivaldi, Brave, Slimjet and many more. So the only real hope of keeping an up-to-date web browser on a Windows 8.1 machine is to use Firefox:

Therefore switching to Firefox might possibly resolve your problem.

It still seems a little odd though that your browser is being reported as being out of date a few weeks before it will actually become so. It therefore might be worth trying to clear your browser's cache, to see if that's really what the problem is:
