Transferring media to phone

Oh dear, I seem to be encountering a similar problem to most people currently posting in this category.

I have got a new phone (Sony Ericsson K750i), and am experiencing difficulties transferring music and videos to it.

I managed to set up the file manager program, and successfully transferred around 10 tracks, just by dragging them into the relevant folder. However, when I try to transfer any more, all I get is an error message saying "The file type is not allowed in the destination folder."

Does anyone have any ideas?
