Over the las 2/3 years three papers, that I know of ,have stopped doing prize crosswords on a saturday.Does anybody out there know if any of them have restarted this saturday tradition .The papers in question are 1) Daily record 2)Daily Star and 3)Daily Telegraph.Any help would save me a fortune buying papers that don't have the required PRIZE crossword.Thanks...........Mick

I don't purchase any of those tabloids Mick, So I can't say.
But why don't you nip into your local superstore and flick through the pages to see. That's what I would do.
Daily Record has a £100 crossword in their Saturday magazine.
To the best of my knowledge, the Saturday Telegraph puzzles are prize ones.
Calling the Telegraph a tabloid??? My mother would turn in her grave :-)
Daily Telegraph has a prize cryptic crossword every Saturday on the back, or inside back page of the main paper.
I worked out that i was spending over £500 per year on newspapers, which, let's face it, can only contain 'yesterday's' news. So i stopped buying them and, while i do miss regularly doing their crosswords, there are enough online word-related puzzles to keep the old grey matter nourished.
Never won any of their prizes, anyway, despite religiously sending in the completed crosswords.
