Making a VCD in Nero

I'm trying to make a vcd using Nero but the file is slightly too large for the disc. The disc is about 700mb but the file is around 740mb.

I'm not too fussed about the back end....will the disc still run but just be cut off near the end. How can I cut and edit the video??

you need an mpeg cutter.

Another problem you may have is that although the file shows 740mb , when you convert to VCD the size will probably increase to something like 1gb - what you would be better doing is splitting the file into halves and burning to 2 CDs .

Sorry, what I meant was if the file (prior to converting) is 740 MB it would increase, if youve already got this size AFTER conversion ,then I would do as suggested by fo3nix
