Migrating From Windows Apple.

I have ordered a new iMac desktop computer. I have also purchased the MS Office version which is specific for Apple computers. I’m going to us Apple’s Migration Assistant to transfer all my old files from the Windows computer. Do you know if I should load the Word and Excel programs first. I did ask the Apple‘s help desk and I was advised to use the Migration Assistant first but I was not convinced he knew.

Just checked and it does say it handles PCs.

I've never used it myself.

You could use Dropbox or Onedrive or similar - thats how I transfer between my mac, ipad and work PC.

It shouldn't make any difference at all as to which way around that you do it.
