My TV has 2 scart sockets. I want to connect a DVD, VCR & Freeview boxto the TV. I have looked at getting a 3 way scart box. My one concern is that if I want to record a program on the Freeview box I will be using two devices at once. Will I be able to do this? Thought I saw something that said only one device could be used at any one time. Thanks..

You can't watch a freeview channel record another Freeview channel at the same time.........if you have analogue signal still available then maybe you can do something with that.......here is a site which shows various ways of connection gear and explains what you can do............. commoner

Thanks Commoner. The daigrams are very useful however....... I have a DVD player, a VCR player, a Freeview box and a TV.The only time I would record from Freeview would be to my VCR and not to a DVD recorder as the diagram suggests. Also with regards to your intial reply I don't want to watch a Freeview channel and record another. It was in case I was out and I wanted to set the VCR timer to record a Freeview channel.

...mmm...providing you have the right set up there should be no problem using your recorders to record freeview channels. Switch to the channel you want on the STB......point the VCR to show the STB and set the VCR timer...I don't see a problem ....best way is to experiment a bit as without knowing your exact set up it is impossible for me to advise.....commoner...be daring ..have a go.;-)

BTW remember to leave the freeview box ON...........
