What Is Best - Lots Of Small Texts Or 1-2 Bigger Ones? Opinions Of Your Preferenece.

I'm just curious which people 'prefer' & which people see as annoying or normal etc etc
Im just wondering because what is really only a couple of sentences can seem a mile long on a phone screen, so gives the impression of being a massive wall of text, when it really isnt.
but,
breaking it up into parts, then ups the number count of messages & makes it seem like theres an endless barrage of texts
the amount of actual words is identical, but which one is 'better'?
Im aware everyone will have different choices on this, so just wondering which one 'wins'.
Thanks :)
I usually just do a couple of larger texts but format it with line breaks etc so its easier to read, but obvs that makes the text take up even more space.
i also go back & edit it down to the knuckle.
Also this is not in ref to anything, i just wondered as i have a pal who texts 1 sentence or a few words per text, but sends about 20 of them, when i'd have put it all in one.
