Change Of Battery

The battery in my HP laptop finally died last week. I purchased a new one and replaced it immediately. When I switched my laptop on Everything had gone. The only thing on the computer was all photos which I used as screen savers. I have absolutely nothing that was on the lap top prior to battery change. They must surely be in there somewhere. How do I get them all back. I am using windows 7 on a HP laptop.

It must all be there somewhere as you say – I’ve experienced a laptop boot-up where none of the desktop icons appear for some reason, re-booting normally fixes this.

If you go to ‘my computer’ and then ‘desktop folder’ all should be there – otherwise search the C drive.
