Since March this year (2023) my Hotmail inbox has been "full" so I cannot send/receive. I have had that account since 1999. It had 95,000 emails (mainly spam/ads). I have whittled that down to 57,306 but the same message "5.1GB used of 5GB (103%)" stubbornly persists. I am beginning to think that is a fake message since I've reduced the inbox by almost 1/3rd and the message has not changed. Any advice/similar experiences gratefully received.

Wow that's a lot of emails. I would carry on deleting them.

50,000 emails uses approximately 5GB so you need to delete a lot more.  Check for large attachments, too

I can't see how it can be fake if you can't send or receive emails.

Is it your OneDrive storage that is full?

Have you emptied the deleted items folder?

Good point, Fitzer.  Empty the bin and spam/junk folders
