No, it will stop targeted ads but you will still get ads, maybe even more annoying than the ones you get now.

Ginger, I get that but even uploading an image on here of my dog has ads all round it

Two different problems...scam emails and intrusive ads.

I use uBlock Origin for the latter...and simply zap the Yank-sourced emails when they arrive.

If it has the word McAfee in the email it won't get through if you block that word in your filters.  Choose 'anywhere in email' or similar in the filter choices

Bobbi   every day I get the same rubbish as you get.

I have a contact list and Yahoo send any email that doesn't come from a contact  into my Spam box

Every so often, I check the spam box and with one click, delete all those that are really spam. The rest, I move into inbox.

Apple was very helpful and talked me through a lot of stuff they've put a patch on ? Whatever that means so hopefully it might stop, now though because of a full clean I can only use my phone to access ABsnd not my preferred iPad ,I've asked to change my password but I don't receive the required code from  AB towers , in fact I don't think they get any emails from md at all

You don't need to ask ABEd to change your password, you can do it in your profile
