Yesterday I couldn't open Outlook to view my emails. MS was pushing me to look at their new version of Outlook so I eventually did.  It was so different to what I was used to that I rejected it and it allowed me to go back to my 'regular' version. Only it wasn't as it previously had been. It was like starting all over again. After hours of fiddling and readjusting I think I'm almost there. However, one thing I can't recover is my Favourites, a list of the email addresses I have use of which sit under the Tools Menu on the left of the screen.  Can any member advise on getting Favourites back please?

Hi ask100 - I didn't realise it was so hard to get into Outlook - didn't realise that they want you to use an updated one.  Favourites wouldn't worry me but ask100 could you tell me how you managed to get in.  You will see my information in the title of Attention of Buenchico.  Thanks ask for any information.

just looked at the Microsoft Office and they aask you to sign in - first word comes up is VERIFY - after that I can't go any further.

Jennyjoan:
I think that you and Ask100 might be referring to two different things.  As I've explained on your own thread, 'Outlook' can mean a computer program for accessing email accounts (which don't have to end with @outlook.com or @hotmail.com) or to the Outlook.com website (which can be used to access email accounts ending with @outlook.com or @hotmail.com).

Ask100 is definitely referring to the former, whereas I suspect that you're referring to the latter.  (Giving the same name to two entirely different things is one of the most stupid things that Microsoft has ever done.  I, and others answering here, have wasted vast amounts of time over the years through guessing at the wrong one!)

Ask100:
Click the 'View' tab, then 'Folder pane' and 'Favorites'. (Horrid US spelling!)

None of my answers will go through to you Chris

that would be my 8 th attempt - will talk to you tomorrow if this goes through.  This is unbelievable.

Thank you so much Buenchico.  Looks so obvious now that you have pointed it out.  And thanks everyone making helpful suggestions.
