To Any Techies Who Are About Bots!

Could the bot/s that are active on this site could have thing to do with the fact that during this time I'm getting notifications on my tablet none of which I I am opening, which are obviously spam or bots.  Never happened before.  

 

Is it just a coincidence? I can't get hold of my son who is an expert, but I know there are experts on here who's advice I would respect.  I am wise enough to just ignore these spam notifications but they've been getting worse.

I am a little confused as to the problem.

When you say notifications do you mean the icons at the top of the screen (outside of an app)?  You can turn these off or do you mean something else?

I would be very surprised if AB had anything to do with it, the 'bots' on here are usually just advertising spam and not really bots just low paid people abroad who punch their way through lists.  All they care about is you pressing the link to their site.

They are listed under the heading of Alerting notications when I go to the top right corner of the screen with the three dots.

Thanks for the link.  I'll have a good look through.  But do those notifications look authentic.

I doubt there is any connection between your notifications and the 'Landf/lettertoRishi/Tears etc' spammer on here (who I don't think is a bot by the way, just a very troubled individual).

No.

Absolutely nobody I know or contact I have would do that fregarUK.  I'm in my 70s and my friends ard all genuine relations and friends or doctors etc.  Very few friends on facebook compared to most.  A few AB friends most of them ladies in the higher age group and I don't use Facebook regularly.  Not on any other social sites.  In fact ìm very boring.

 I recently had something similar and I had to reset settings to get rid of them.

How do I reset setting  Haz?

Go to three dots top right, scroll down to settings then click on reset settings.  If I remember, I had to sign in again to each site as I used them.

Well in the end I read through ymfs link.  Went to the bottom of notifications and pressed clear and they all disappeared.  I will be reading up again to try and control them but for now,   I'll just Zap.
