Iphone 12 Automatically Logging Out

A regular update was installed on my phone the other day but since then every time I go to another website, upon my return perhaps just minutes later I find I have to log in again.  I lost count of the number of times I had to log into AB and Amazon yesterday.   Is there a cure?

Dunno about buying Android to fix it. I have a Samsung tablet and a game I run there logs out if I flit momentarily to another app and back. Plus I've a further app that will suddenly and randomly go to the background, apparently supposed to be still running but not actually doing anything any more.

Are you using Safari, Chrome or something else?

This is a recent article, and I do know that Apple/Safari have been a lot more focused on privacy and security recently.
