I have 5 small speakers that come from a surround sound set.
None of them have any sort of connection plugs - the wires are bare at the ends, & there is TWO wires.
How can i make them go into a normal standard speaker port on a laptop?
what do i need to buy?
thanks :)

Plus are yo intending to use all 5 speakers? If so I think you are on a no go. Those speakers from surround sound systems were driven by a better amp than your laptop is going to have I feel.
You won't get a lot of volume from a pair of those speakers. The audio output socket is really only meant for earphones. You'd need to use speakers with a built in amplifier in order to produce much volume.
If you're determined to try though, you'll need one of these:

You'll then need to feed the wires from two of the speakers through the end of the plug, soldering one wire from each speaker to the connection for the top/outer part, with the remaining two wires being connected to the tip and middle parts respectively.
These are the connection diagrams for a laptop stereo audio output jack. The + on the speakers is for the live and the - is ground. You could make the ground common to both speakers with a single wire and hope that you get something out of a pair. I think you have more chance of ruining the laptop sound card.

A pair of low-cost USB-powered computer speakers now costs as little as £10. Depending on the speaker quality, speakers from a surround sound set can connect to a mini amplifier to produce better sound. https:/
A typical connection is two speakers on the left and two on the right. Besides the mini amplifier, you will need a power supply and a 3.5mm to 2 RCA audio cable. A suggested search is Audio Amplifier with Power Supply.
