Why? Have You Any Questions You've Never Had A Proper Answer To? Or Too Embarrassed To Ask?

My burning question is why do total strangers feel the need to tell me I'm tall?  Do they tell people they are short?  I'm an old man - I realised many years ago that I am tall.

My embarrassing question is, why don't people living in Australia realise they upside down?  I know gravity is keeping them stuck to earth, like a magnet, but why isn't their hair hanging the wrong way?

People tell me I'm short quite often (I'm 5'3). I wonder if they think that it's totally new information to me.

...their hair is being pulled by gravity too.

My question is, why are we here?

Define "down" :)

It's what keeps wee chicks warm...

Opposite of Up?

Same question, really.

"Down", at least in this context, is the direction gravity pulls you. So the Australians, etc, are the right way up, and any impression otherwise is just a sort of "northern hemisphere bias".

Tilly, you are here to amuse, entertain and inform others.  We are just playthings for other people, pawns on a giant chessboard.  Has that answered your question?

Thank you, Clare,  now I understand it just as well as I understand how moving pictures and sound appears on my tv screen, down that aerial.

Twoshortplanks, 5'3 is that short.  Anyway it is always true that the best gifts come in small packages.   Like a Fudge.

Barry, other folk seem to see 5'3 as short, I don't really care to be honest.

Poison also comes in small packages to be fair 😁

No Barry, it hasn't answered my question. I didn't mean why are we on AB. I meant, why are we here in this existence?

I'm a bit tall 6-2 & had a short boss. Then we got a new boss who was even shorter. I said "Wow, new boss you're even shorter than old boss!". It didn't go down well.

Yes, how does Mr BM know to message me and request refreshments/a hot water bottle/whatever (he is still on crutches) the minute my bum hits a seat with a glass of wine?  (And no, he does not have CCTV).

It sounds to me BM he knows you inside out, and every move you make, and what time you make that move. Do you have the same wine O clock?

Tilly, I was talking about life in general, not in AB land.

Barmaid, I will tell you a secret.  Men never lose that inate abilitly every baby has that tells them when Mum is settling down for a 10 minute relax.  It causes baby to demand her attention.  Men have this ability with all women once they reach puberty.  We need attention, and we need it now!  We simply can't help it.

Barry,  I am beating him.  I have put my phone on silent.  "Oh darling, did you message, I am so sorry, I didn't hear my phone" (whilst thinking - "actually, you can manage on one crutch now so walk down the stairs yourself you lazy sod")

Lottie needs new glasses.  I was curious as to how Mr BM manages.to MASSAGE Mrs BM when he is on two crutches!.

I have an optician coming on Wednesday!!

Im short too, people often mention it, never sure what I'm supposed to say.

I also have very fine hair, every hairdresser I've even been to has pointed it out in case i hadn't noticed in the past 60 years.

Darcey; I think they're being nice and communicative, rather than being accusative. I like fine hair.

And short women.

You wouldn't like me - I'm tall and bald. 😀
