Apologies Folks. This should have only affected users who are not signed in. This has now been corrected. 😳

Our members have and will continue to enjoy an "Ad Free" AB for as long as we can make this viable. The hope was that in doing this just over a year ago, we would encourage more Donations from our members, which sadly - after a year - Just doesn't seem viable. 

We are 100% transparent about our Donations, which are averaging at less than the cost of a Starbucks (other Coffee Chains available) per day at the moment... See here: https://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/AB-Editors-Blog/Question1808295.html 

Ads are only served to Visitors to the site who are not members, and it is to those users that we are attempting to take a harder stance. Our view is that those who contribute to AB (as Members) are able to enjoy it without Ads, and those who don't (a considerably larger proportion of our traffic) can help keep AB going for us through Advertising; the least impactful revenue stream we could opt for. 

I'd also like to use this as a reminder, and to be totally honest with you, that Donations are becoming an increasingly important funding stream for AB, even at the low levels they are - Donations are helping to keep the lights on.. And whilst I feel it's clear that Members do not feel as passionately about supporting the future development of AB - based on the Donation levels we're seeing - I would like to see AB continue into the future, as I'm sure you all would too.

@webbo3 I'd love to. I really would. But the Horse must come before the Cart. Doing so requires investment, and whilst we're not a Charity, we are running the AB for the benefit of Members, not the other way around - I'm afraid.
