I'm sure everyone but me knows this but I have to pay my new provider for one month's data, calls and texts when I order the SIM.

When does the countdown begin? When I activate it or order it? 

I need it before my current plan ends but don't want to use it until then.

Is there a time limit?

I've looked on the new provider's website.
