Tiscali Broadband&phone offer

Tiscali have an offer through W.H.Smith for 1Mb broadband plus anytime UK calls for �19.49 a month. Seems cheap but only if the customer service is good. Has anyone any experience of this? Some say there is disconnection after a short period of inactivity. I thought broadband did away with this problem.

I don't think it's Tiscali thats causing your disconnection. I have never had that problem with them while on Broadband. Do you use a Download manager? Or check the settings and firewall.

I think the customer service is in India but to be honest other than a bandwith usage warning during peak times, I have had no problems that I haven't managed to sort.

Same here, not had any problems myself, but they do have a bad reputation.

Oh, and on their website they are doing 2mb unlimited broadband and free UK calls or �19.99.

I have just signed up with Tiscali broadband and am having the same problem with disconnection.

Could you please explain how I check the settings and firewall?
