May not get a chance to post many replies - I have to be out the door at  8am as I need to be at the hospital at 9. I'm having a series of spinal injections under local anaesthetic. MrSmow is dropping me off so I can find Day Surgery unit. Hopefully all will go well and be home before you know it.

Have a great day everyone x

Thanku v much x

Good luck, Smow, hope all goes well and gives you a good result

Well done on pushing for the appointment, hope the injections work and you can be pain free at last.

Good morning everyone. Hope you have a very successful day Smow and the pain goes.

I have decided I was born in the wrong century - I should have lived before technology and computers!! Spend the weekend trying to sort out tecchnical problems with the car, the television, the computer, and my smart phone, (which I cannot get the hang of).

The first three I eventually got sorted, but am still struggling with the phone and I have not got any youngsters to ask. I am sure I will get there in the end!

Have a good day everyone.

Know what you mean Calda, fortunately I can dump it in Mr U's lap and say 'make that work'.

Hi everyone, hope ur all having a good day, and Thanku so much for all the good wishes. Had a total of 5 injections whilst in theatre but dear god it was painful!! I had all the local anaesthetic jabs done and they were fine, then the main man said 'ok I'm going to start now - you may want to hold .....'s hand as this is probably going to hurt'........ Think the poor guy whose hand I gripped for dear life didn't have much flesh left!!
But it's done now. Not sure it's it's meant to have an instant effect no matter how slight, or whether it takes a while.(the local anaesthetic hasn't worn off fully yet)

Well done for surviving that, is 5 all you need or do you have to go back for further treatment.  Will keep fingers crossed for you that after all the pain these jabs work for you.

Wow Smow! Sounds worse than child birth!!

Glad you came through ok & all is well.

Dear lawd smow,  sounds awful. Hope it works well xx

Question Author

Aww Thanku all for the messages. All I kept thinking whilst laying in theatre on my front (so I couldn't obv see what was happening) was that if this is how it feels WITH a local anaesthetic then Christ knows what it would be like without!!! 🤬🤬🤬

I like that last remark Smow - shows you've still got a fine sense of humour (and boy do you need it with what you're going through). I hope it improves things for you.
