Good morning! Up early today,cats  fed, washing machine on, quick cup of tea whilst walking round garden. Lovely and bright, and it doesn't actually feel cold either. I could get used to this dry spell lol! Am so hoping that we have a wonderful spring & summer this year - my god we need it.

Have quite a lot of work to do today - the last few weeks my online sales have snowballed!(see what I did there lol)but I've certainly put the work in to justify it.....

Now debating what to have for dinner this evening. Any ideas??

Good morning, waiting for fog to lift and forecast sunshine to show itself.  Supermarket this morning, followed by housework, nothing exciting.

Mr U got in the shower last night and got drenched in cold water, I am just about to go and try it, otherwise I will have to go into one of the other ensuites and use the electric one.  Fingers crossed it works or we are going to have to find someone to come and fix.

Good morning Smow and everone, I woke up earlier than usual... thought I may as well get up as Going into City center this morning a few boring stuff to be done. Tidied up my abode did yesterdays washing up etc... Made good use of the eggs I forgot about on Tuesday (Pancakes) Toasted soldiers in soft boiled eggs (I'm a master at timing them) and made some Egg Mayonnaise with other eggs I left a bit longer for butties later.

Lovely and Sunny oop here in West Yorkshire but expect it to be a bit nippy when I set off shortly.

Morning all. Arcky how long do you your eggs for, I never seem to get them right. Ubasses, hope you get your shower sorted, cold showers are a definite no no. Smow, isn't it lovely to get outside, there is one bed I need to get weeded but am waiting for the scaffolding to be taken down (we had to have some roofing done) so I can get at it. I have a list of tasks I want our new gardener to tackle so we can get on with planting. I feel a trip to the garden centre coming on lol. 

Not a lot to do today. Have a happy day everyone

Good morning Smow and all. Pretty sunny here and not that cold, although we are forecast rain later. Having done loads of washing in the last few days as the weather was so good, I've now got to iron it!! Not a job I like.

At least I feel marginally better today after two days of two different kinds of antibiotics for my two teeth abcesses. I suppose I am putting off the inevitable regarding my teeth but it scared me to death when the dentist said I could have ended up with sepsis.

Hope now the weather is improving that I can get out more. Seem to have been nowhere for ages as it is always raining!

Morning, Smow, had a lovely afternoon yesterday sat near the window, feeling the warmth of the sun streaming in. Lots of bird activity in my garden and the woods beyond, signs of spring everywhere.

The sunshine is indeed very uplifting. Our two cats(sisters aged 3), just LOVE the sunshine and as soon as it's warm enough they go to a corner outside the patio doors which is a bit of a heat trap and no wind, and they both lie on their backs with all 4 paws in the air, just sunbathing! Makes me smile every time I see them x

Arky's method for perfect soft boiled eggs:

I only use large eggs and pin prick the Air Cell' at the larger end to avoid them cracking, Bring water to a boil then reduce heat so the water's simmering, before gently lowering them in for Five minutes, now being a bit generic with 'Large eggs' as they, even large ones do vary somewhat but start with the smallest on eating as the others will still be hardening inside their shell.

Additional:

Egg white solidifies more quickly in hot, salty water than it does in fresh. So a little salt in your water can minimize the mess if your egg springs a leak while cooking. The egg white solidifies when it hits the salt water, sealing up the crack so that the egg doesn't shoot out a streamer of white.

I add a teaspoon before bringing the water to the boil.

I had to rise early for dental appointment at 9.

I "boil" eggs now in my Air Fryer - didn't take many tries before I found the right time for my taste. So much less bother than messing about with water on a stove etc.

You're welcome and good luck... I don't usually bother for breakfast it's an any time meal for me a bit like some folk eating cereal for supper.
